What you will study
The modern business world is changing at breakneck speed. Ongoing digital and operational disruption present unique challenges – as well as opportunities. Society needs new leaders who are agile, entrepreneurial and, above all, able to innovate under the toughest of conditions.
Students will develop solid foundations in modern business with La Trobe's Bachelor of Business. They will prepare to thrive in a digitally disrupted world with this highly flexible degree and start building a dream career in business.
Students will explore multiple business disciplines in the first year and develop foundational knowledge and enterprise skills in areas such as management, organisational structures, data analytics and ethical business practices.
Students will choose from a wide range of majors, minors and optional second majors. They can also pair their major with complementary study from another discipline.
No matter how students specialise, they'll get hands-on experience and learn the latest digital skills while developing essential leadership, communication and critical-thinking skills.
Students will develop professional business skills as they work in diverse teams, present business strategies and use the software that's essential in modern business.
They'll graduate with the perfect blend of business fundamentals and technical expertise so they can change the business world.
Students will learn: • Digital literacy: Use a wide range of digital and data-processing tools to analyse business activity and become a more effective business professional. • Management and business structures: Understand how to communicate, collaborate and connect with business peers and stakeholders. • Economics: Discover how business and society connect. Understand economic principles and use them to create business solutions. • Sustainability: Learn about environmental, corporate and governance responsibility. Develop sustainable solutions that prioritise individual and societal wellbeing.
