Overview

With a combined Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Management (B.A./B.Mgt.) degree, the students can explore a multitude of interests and careers. For example, if they are interested in managing an art gallery, they can major in art and general management. If sports marketing ignites their passion, candidates can major in kinesiology and marketing. The Combined B.A./B.Mgt. degree program takes five years (50 courses) to complete and leads to the conferral of two degrees.

Bachelor of Management - Finance

Finance is the study of financial decision making in investment, portfolio management and corporate finance as well as managing risk, financial innovations in a dynamic business environment. Finance students study areas such as corporate and personal finance, investments, global finance, financial technology (FinTech), Financial Institutions and Markets, and Derivatives. They develop skills using excel, statistical, trading and portfolio management software and draw from fields such as economics, accounting, and social responsibility as they prepare for career opportunities in the areas of banking, investments, international finance, trading, risk management and more. Graduates have the opportunity for hands-on financial trading through Schools' Student Managed Investment Fund.

Bachelor of Arts - Kinesiology

Kinesiology is the study of human movement through physical activity and the critical role it plays from both an individual and cultural perspective. It also helps professionals understand the mechanics of human motion.

The programs are designed to provide students with the opportunity to study the theoretical and practical applications of activity as a cultural form, as well as individual performance at all levels of involvement and all ages.

Graduates will also gain an understanding of movement through the integration of specialized knowledge found in topics like anatomy, biomechanics, culture, exercise physiology, leadership, media, motor control, race and ethnicity. They will have access to state-of-the-art laboratories, as well as the 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness, with its indoor track, pool and climbing wall.

BA vs. BSc Students completing the Bachelor of Arts program explore sport and physical activity involvement from a socio-cultural, wellness and participatory perspective, while students enrolled in the Bachelor of Science program study these concepts from a human performance perspective.
