Overview
This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Durham University International Study Centre located at Queen's Campus, in Stockton on Tees. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Durham University. In a Pre-Masters program students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.
This Pre-Masters provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the University of Durham, Durham City campus in a range of subjects related to economics, accounting or finance.
After completing this pathway, students will transfer to the MSc - Human Resource Managment program. These one year, full-time MSc in Management programs are designed to provide students with the tools, techniques and knowledge to succeed in business.
Effective management of human resources is vital to business success. The MSc Management (HRM) will develop your knowledge of human resource management and can help you prepare for a career in human resources.
The MSc Management (HRM) is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD). The CIPD is the largest professional body of HR and Learning and Development professionals with some 140,000 members across the globe. Students in the MSc Management program have the option to join the CIPD (additional fee applies). Upon successful completion of their MSc (in line with the requirements of the CIPD) students will be eligible for the award of the CIPD’s Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management; the graduates' CIPD membership will be automatically updated to Associate Member, confirming theirr credentials as prospective HR professional.
The program consists of a set of core and elective modules, culminating in a practice-based business project or a research-based dissertation.
