What you will study
Civil construction has become one of the top demanding fields in Australia. Therefore, studying in this qualification provides students with multiple employment opportunities to be successful in the civil construction field. With successful completion of this qualification, students will have developed skills and knowledge to work as a senior civil works designer or a para-professional designer, who supports professional engineers.
The tasks students will perform in these roles are broad, specialised, complex, and technical, including strategic areas and initiating activities. Students will also be responsible for designing complex projects to ensure the implementation of the client’s site requirements and are required to demonstrate the self-directed application of theoretical and technical knowledge and initiate solutions to technical problems or management requirements.
