St. Clair College - Windsor Campus
The Police Foundations program provides students with the knowledge, fitness, and professional skills needed to pursue a rewarding career in law enforcement or related fields. Students develop a strong theoretical foundation in criminal justice, complemented by training in communication, ethics, and interpersonal skills essential to success in policing and community service roles. Graduates will gain competencies in investigative techniques, police procedures, and community policing principles. This program is ideal for students who are community‑minded, physically fit, and possess good moral character. Effective written and oral communication abilities, along with the capacity to manage stressful situations, are key to succeeding both in the program and in the field. • Accelerated Learning Option: Complete a two‑year diploma in just 11 months through the Fast‑Track option.
• Fitness and Readiness Training: Includes structured preparation for the Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police (PREP) — an exit requirement for program completion and a recognized standard for police service applicants.
