Bachelor of Science - Biological Science - Marine Biology - Transfer Opportunity in Year 2

The Bachelor of Science in Biological Science provides students with broad exposure to fundamental biological principles and depth of knowledge in one of five concentrations chosen by the student. The program provides opportunities for faculty-mentored undergraduate research and is committed to integrating teaching and research. The curriculum provides preparation for: entry to health professions schools and graduate school in the life sciences; laboratory and field research, secondary school teaching, and jobs in conservation and environmental biology with government and private agencies; careers in research and pharmaceutical product sales, and biotechnology industry. Marine Biology is the study of marine organisms and their coastal and oceanic habitats, including classification, structure/function, ecology and physiology, as well as examination of conservation, environmental and evolutionary issues. Students with junior or senior standing will be permitted to enroll in BIOL 480, BIOL 482, BIOL 498 and BIOL 499L. However, no more than a combined total of six units of BIOL 480 (3 units maximum), BIOL 482 (2 units maximum), BIOL 498 (3 units maximum) and BIOL 499L (6 units maximum) shall be counted toward requirements for the concentration, and no more than three of these units may count toward the upper-division biology laboratory/field requirements.

Students first enroll at California State University, Fullerton where they will take undergraduate degree courses alongside American students. Student have 3 options to choose from during the 4 year bachelor degree Option 1: After completing Year 1, students can choose to stay at California State University and complete the remaining 3 years at the same campus. This is an ideal option if a student would prefer to stay on the same campus for the whole of your degree, is seeking a flexible pathway to a reputable public university degree, want the most cost-effective degree, and is looking for a less research-based university. Option 2: After completing Year 1, student have the option to choose from 23 campuses for degree transfer. Option 3: After 2 years at Cal State Fullerton, students can transfer to complete their degree at the University of California or another Top 100 US university. Upon successful transfer to a university, students will complete their degree at said university.
