What you will study

The International Foundation Programme at Solent University is designed specifically to support students in the transition from an overseas High School education, to undergraduate study in the UK. Alongside language development units, students will also build their confidence and independence, developing their study skills. The inclusion of subject-specific pathways prepare students for their chosen subject area, enabling them to familiarise themselves with some of the theories and terminology that they can expect to encounter at undergraduate level.

This particular pathway develops students knowledge and skills in business and management, with a particular focus on external business pressures and management theory.

Solent Business School offers the skills and confidence students need to progress a successful career in business and international management – or even to start up their own business.

With a range of option choices to help students focus on their personal career path, the business management degree at Solent University will prepare students for the ever-changing business environment – teaching them to analyse future trends, identify local and broader impacts, and recommend sustainable, ethical solutions to contemporary business challenges.

Solent prides itself on being interdisciplinary and preparing their students for the diverse and dynamic world of modern business.

Meanwhile, accreditation from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) means students can also graduate with an additional professional leadership and management award (level 5).
