The Motive Power Technician – Automotive Service program will teach students how to analyze and solve automotive system problems, diagnose and repair mechanical, electronic and electrical automotive components and systems while teaching them how to use a variety of troubleshooting techniques and testing equipment to support automotive transportation.
Graduates of this program may find employment in the motor vehicle industry as a trainee or as an apprentice mechanic. Graduates may also work as a technical service advisor, service manager, parts/salesperson, or an insurance adjuster.
