What you will study

The nonprofit sector in Canada contributes significantly to the development of societal wellbeing and provides a large economic benefit. It is estimated there are many registered nonprofit sector organizations in Canada. The Department of Business Administration and Tourism offers a Major, Concentration or Minor in Nonprofit Leadership. The Bachelor of Business Administration with a Nonprofit Leadership (NPL) Major allows students to specialize in nonprofit leadership. After completing ten units of introductory coursework, students will then complete the core non-profit sector courses (Introduction to the Nonprofit Sector, Nonprofit Leadership: People Management, Nonprofit Leadership: Governance & Strategy, Not-for-Profit Marketing, Nonprofit Financial Management), plus related electives from the Business Administration and Arts and Science programs. Students are also able to enroll in the optional co-operative education program.
