The Health Science Diploma is a two-year program that establishes a strong foundation in health science while providing flexibility for future studies or careers. With the appropriate selection of electives, students can transfer to advanced programs such as the Island Pre-Health Science (IPH) Advanced Diploma, an Associate of Science degree, or University Studies. After completing the first year, students have the option to earn a Foundations in Health Science certificate as an additional credential.
Students will learn:
• Core scientific principles in health science • Indigenous perspectives on health and wellness • Regional healthcare systems within the broader context of societal change • The impact of historical and contemporary factors on health • Pathways for further education and career opportunities
