What you will study
At the postgraduate level, Brunel University London Pathway College provides the highly acclaimed Pre-Master's programme leading to an excellent range of Brunel University London Master programmes in business and management, computing, engineering & design and arts. After successfully completing the programme students will advance to their chosen progression degree. A postgraduate pathway will give students valuable insight into postgraduate-level studies in the UK. Most importantly, It will equip students with the appropriate knowledge and skills they need to excel in their chosen taught master's degree.
The educational aims of the programme element are to:
• Develop in students fundamental knowledge and understanding of business and its internal and external operating processes, inclusive of planning and strategy, growth, marketing, products/services, finance and accounting systems, information systems, and the management and development of human resource within organisations. • Develop in students an appreciation and desire to learn based on competent intellectual and practical skills that build to a set of transferable skills that will support them in all aspects of their onward academic studies/careers and support their decision making in an informed manner. • Ensure that students have attained the prescribed level of inter-disciplinary language competence. • Prepare students for postgraduate study to meet the required academic standards.
Management MSc
The Brunel Management MSc offers students an understanding of management and organisations relevant to their career path. This is achieved through the study of organisations, their management and the changing contexts in which they operate. Students will gain an advanced and applied understanding of contextual forces on organisations – be they legal, ethical, economic, environmental, social and technological; together with business strategy, markets and customers, financial management, and the management and development of people. The Brunel Management MSc allows students to study general business management or to select a specialist pathway which reflects their strengths and interests.
