What you will study
The International Foundation Programme – Arts and Humanities enables students to understand a range of areas. They will develop their communication and creative skills whilst taking specific modules relating to their further degree study.
The International Year Zero (IYZ) is the first year of a 4-year International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB). The first year is taught at University of Kent International College (UK IC). Once students successfully complete this year, they will continue studying the remaining stages of their degree at University of Kent. From the traditional canon to the innovative contemporary novel, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) English Literature programme empowers students to identify how the world is perceived and informed through literary narratives. The University of Kent will give them the confidence and support to apply their understanding of literature to today’s world, gaining critical and creative skills that allow them to effect change and shape their own future. Students will tailor their studies according to their interests, choosing from a broad range of literary periods, topics, and themes. They can explore the written word across poetry, drama and prose, but also through narrative forms in queer zines; films; artist books; and video games. Their studies will sharpen their critical tools and nourish their unique creativity in a supportive academic environment. The curriculum is designed set them up for a successful and exciting career across wide range of fields.
