What you will study
Statistics plays an essential role in data analytics, healthcare modelling and artificial intelligence. On this accredited degree, they will learn the fundamentals of statistics and data analysis and study advanced techniques in probability and uncertainty modelling. They'll also explore core areas of applied statistics.
They can tailor their choice of optional modules to suit your interests and career plans. They can even choose subjects, such as a language, that will broaden their skills and enhance their CV further.
About statistics at the University of Nottingham Our lecturers are experts in data analysis and modelling. They'll learn from them through a combination of lectures, problem classes and tutorials. They will put the statistical and probability theory they've learnt into practice. Working in our computer labs will give them hands-on experience of using statistical software.
They can expand their skills even further with a work placement. Alternatively they may choose to spend time overseas with a semester abroad.

We work closely with our industrial partners and alumni to ensure the course is aligned to employer needs, so you can enter the workplace confident in the skills and knowledge they have gained.
