Businesses need effective managers now more than ever in a post Covid-19 world. But what makes an effective manager? And how can studying management theory create better managers for people and the planet? On this course, students learn what’s involved in managing organizations in an increasingly complex world. The School looks at the enduring patterns in how people, groups, organizations, economies and societies function and interact. By understanding these behaviors, students can manage them effectively in times of significant change.

With BSc Business Management, students gain a rich understanding of how organizations operate – what they do, how they develop strategies and why.

The first year of the business management degree also introduces students to the core principles of accounting, finance, marketing and economics to provide them with the essential business knowledge needed for a successful career.

In the final year, students have the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice by completing an in-depth, independent research project or dissertation. This will give students the chance to further develop vital employability skills in areas of research, time management and critical thinking.
