Overview
Explore the theory and skills necessary to work as an Activity Assistant. Students are introduced to activity as a part of life that influences and is influenced by health, age, ability, interests, values and environment.
The program includes classroom instruction and practicum experience. Courses include:
• Framework for Activity Assistant Role • Enhancing Quality of Life Through Recreation Programming • Overview of the Older Adult • Two Practicums (one part-time and one full-time)
