Not everyone takes the same route into university, and that’s ok. Whether students have completed a HND and want to top-up to a full degree, or they have completed two years of Chemical Engineering elsewhere and are ready to finish their degree with us, then look no further. This course gives them the opportunity to complete their journey and achieve their goals.

In the top-up year, students will study third year modules from our Chemical Engineering (BEng hons) degree, equipping them with the specialist knowledge and practical skills demanded in chemical engineering.

Chemical Engineering focuses on developing safe and sustainable ways to turn raw materials into everyday products. We run a hands-on course, that includes computer simulation, laboratory practice, industrial days and visits, and a community that is diverse, friendly, and supportive. It is this environment that enables our graduates to be well-equipped to work in industries including energy, water, food, drink, chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
