Bachelor of Arts and Science - Indigenous Studies & Computer Science (Optional Co-op)

University of Lethbridge - Lethbridge

What you will study

For the Bachelor of Arts and Science, students must complete two majors: an Arts major, and a Science major.

Indigenous Studies

Indigenous studies explores art, law, philosophy, health, politics, history, gender studies, ecology, business, customs and language — all from a unique Indigenous perspective — making this one of the most sought-after programs of its kind in Canada.

In this program, students will have the opportunity to investigate First Nations’, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) history, heritage and culture, as well as the contemporary issues that face FNMI communities.

Students of Indigenous Studies will have access to Indigenous instructors, who are often nationally or internationally renowned, seasoned professionals with real-world experience.

Computer Science

Computer science is the study of algorithms and data structures and their applications in designing new and efficient solutions to industrial, technological, environmental or social problems. Graduates will learn to tackle difficult problems using a variety of high-tech tools and approaches, and effectively communicate their expertise to others by coupling their technical learning with a solid grounding in liberal education. The program is designed to enable students to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, including access to state-of-the-art hardware and software in the three computer labs whenever they need to use them.
