Overview
The Pre-Masters program is designed for students who do not qualify for direct entry to a postgraduate degree at the University of Dundee. This may be due to the grades achieved in their undergraduate degree, their current qualifications not being equivalent to a UK undergraduate degree, or a desire to improve their academic and English language skills.
The Pre-Masters course will equip students with the advanced skills necessary to complete their postgraduate study at the University of Dundee. They can choose to study over one or two terms, depending on their academic qualifications and English language level. The one-term option offers a fast track route to their chosen degree course and is studied over three months. The two-term option is studied over six months and provides additional academic English and subject-related support.
International Commercial Law In a world slowly emerging from the Covid-19 pandemic and facing the challenges of nationalism, protectionism, and trade wars, students of the International Commercial Law LLM find their importance to the market and society reaffirmed as never before. International flows of trade and investment are crucial for the development of countries and regions, especially during times of crisis. As the world recovers from one of the worst economic crises in history, the future holds many exciting opportunities for students in the International Commercial Law LLM program.
In this program, students will learn from a range of core and optional modules, including international investment law, international trade law, international dispute resolution, international taxation law, private international law of business transactions, international sales of goods, comparative corporate law, competition law, and intellectual property law. Numerous other options are available, including those from the world-leading Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law & Policy (CEPMLP). Students will have the opportunity to engage critically with each topic of study, paying close attention to the impact of law and institutions on society.
