Cybersecurity professionals are responsible for the evolving task of protecting information by mitigating information risks. This diploma program provides students with the knowledge and skills required by industry for an entry-level position in the field of cybersecurity. The program curriculum begins with foundational concepts in IT, such as customer experience, networking, and security operations. Building on these concepts, students continue to develop their skills in areas such as vulnerability management, security monitoring, detection, and response. IT design principles, methodologies, incident management, and the laws and policies that apply to information security are also included in the curriculum.
The program includes opportunities to apply the skills learned in hands-on simulated environments, as well as through a Work-Integrated Learning component where students gain industry experience.
