Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Geography (L700)

University of Birmingham - Edgbaston

What you will study

The Geography BA/BSc programmes are among the most flexible anywhere, so if students are interested in both human and physical geography, they can pick and choose their modules to focus on the human side, physical side or the interactions between the two.

In a rapidly changing world, not only are many of the challenges humans face geographical – climate change, migration, globalisation – but they are also interconnected. It’s because the natural and social environments overlap when taking a multidisciplinary approach.

The single honours course can be taken as a BA or BSc degree. All students enjoy the same wide choice of course options and fieldwork opportunities.

This programme has been accredited by the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG). Accredited degree programmes contain a solid academic foundation in geographical knowledge and skills, and prepare graduates to address the needs of the world beyond higher education. The accreditation criteria require evidence that graduates from accredited programmes meet defined sets of learning outcomes, including subject knowledge, technical ability and transferable skills.
