Doctor of Nursing (9017)

Doctor of Nursing program is offered within a leading research center in London for nursing, midwifery, allied health professions, public health, and social care. According to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2014, 80% of research in Allied Health Professions and Nursing was awarded the highest quality ratings of 4* or 3* for impact in terms of reach and significance.

The program provides access to a monthly doctoral support program, where research students can engage with peers at different stages of their doctoral studies and benefit from peer support and learning-focused sessions. Additional development opportunities are available through the Central Research Office, along with an annual Summer School.

A PhD is defined as an original contribution to knowledge. Unlike a taught master’s degree, the final outcome is an extended dissertation or creative project relevant to the chosen field, rather than module-based coursework and examinations. Research students are expected to direct their own learning with support from a supervisory team.
