The Writing for Film & TV Diploma program is designed to replicate the collaborative, fast-paced environment of the film and television industry. Classes are modeled after professional writers’ rooms, featuring table reads, on-set showrunning, and industry-standard editing software. Under the guidance of award-winning screenwriters, students learn to pitch, write, finance, produce, direct, and market for formats including sitcoms, one-hour dramas, feature films, documentaries, news, commercials, PSAs, and new media. They also gain hands-on experience by bringing their original scripts to life, collaborating with peers from film production, acting, and video game design programs. The program provides unique opportunities for networking with industry professionals and practical training in the art of storytelling and production. Graduates leave with an industry-ready portfolio of scripts and produced projects, showcasing their talent across diverse formats and preparing them to succeed in the competitive world of film and television.
Note: If you're interested in combining the College Diploma - Writing for Film and TV with a Bachelor of Creative Arts, please see the following program - Dual Program - College Diploma - Writing for Film and TV & Bachelor of Creative Arts (BCA), which is PGWP eligible.
