Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Computer Science and Mathematics (Sandwich Year)

Program Description Mathematics and computer science go hand in hand, especially in an increasingly digital world. Being able to code someone else’s algorithms is useful but Nottingham Trent University will teach students to design and implement their own – taking their skills to the next level.

Students will get to grips with the building blocks of mathematics such as algebra, calculus and statistics but there’s so much more to it than that. As well as developing complementary computing skills, the course also strengthens students' knowledge of mathematics, making students a better coder. Nottingham Trent University will give students plenty of opportunities to get hands-on and practice.

In the final year, students will have a choice of options from both the computer science and mathematics sides of their course. The modules students' choose and their choice of project allows them to create their own pathway dependent on their interests.

The Computer Science and Mathematics degree is current and relevant to the needs of business. Nottingham Trent University's close links with industry means that, if students wish, they will have the opportunity to take up job placements with some of the world’s leading companies.
