Overview
Demand is increasing for new media artists with expertise in business and management. This five-year combined degrees program bridges the gap between fine arts and management.
Bachelor of Management - Political Science Political science is the systematic study of government, politics and political behaviour. It looks at how political conflict is organized and resolved, how rulers are chosen, how governmental decisions are taken and what policies and laws are determined and implemented. This can be done in settings ranging from Canada as a whole, to provincial and local governments, to other countries to the relations among countries. It also considers how political actors understand their obligations towards one another and the degree to which decisions are ethically determined or out of convenience.
Political science students will study the principles, organizations, and administration of government. The major includes both management and political science courses. The political science major offers flexibility to choose courses that fit each student’s personal and career interests. In addition to the required courses, political science majors can choose six political science and three management electives.
Bachelor of Fine Arts - New Media Through new media production and studies, students will explore the interconnectivity between technology, art, culture and industry. Students will gain the skills necessary to evolve with emerging technologies in a variety of professional settings.
Students will explore, study, and create using a wide range of technologies and techniques with studies in graphic, web and interaction design; 3D modelling; animation; video game design and development; screenwriting; cinema production and studies; and new media theory.
