Overview
The MSc in Human Factors and Ergonomics aims to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to design products, jobs/tasks, and environments from a human perspective. If one is interested in people, technology, and design, then this course could be suitable.
Throughout the course, students will learn about various human characteristics (physical, cognitive, social, and emotional) in relation to interactions with jobs, environments, products, services, and others. Upon completion, graduates will have a postgraduate qualification that is highly sought after in industry and provides the necessary expertise to address human factors issues in the modern era.
This course is recognized as a Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors Qualifying Course. There are numerous opportunities for further studies within the department, including a comprehensive PhD program within the Human Factors research group. Additionally, over 98% of engineering research is ranked as internationally quality.
Graduates of the Human Factors and Ergonomics MSc program can attain full membership with the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society (HFES) after gaining four years of work experience.
