What you will study
The BA (Hons) Creative Industries Management programme offers students the opportunity to explore a wide range of creative disciplines alongside key management practices designed to prepare them for careers within the creative sector. The course provides a solid grounding in essential business principles—such as strategy, marketing, finance and entrepreneurship—applied specifically to creative enterprises.
Through the study of effective business management strategies, students develop the practical knowledge and skills required to succeed in the creative industries. Delivered by a specialist arts university, the programme combines academic learning with hands-on experiences, encouraging experimentation and engagement with creative processes. Students also have opportunities to collaborate with peers from related disciplines including marketing, art and design, fashion, film, writing and the performing arts.
Learning takes place in purpose-built studios equipped with Apple Mac computer suites running up-to-date, industry-standard software such as Adobe Creative Cloud and professional productivity and project management tools. In addition, students gain experience using creative industry platforms, including CRM and marketing automation systems, as well as financial planning software.
The course offers access to specialist resources supporting pitching, storytelling and content creation, including photography, video and podcasting equipment. Students can make use of cameras, microphones and lighting kits both in dedicated studios and on location to enhance their professional training.
