The one-year Veterinary Assistant certificate program provides the skills and knowledge to assist in quality animal care as part of a veterinary team. Student will gain a strong foundation in animal care and health, preparing them for a veterinary clinic environment. As a Veterinary Assistant, They will collaborate with Veterinarians and Veterinary Technicians to care for various animals. This program equips them to thrive in diverse animal care settings, including companion animals, exotic pets, and large animals. A Veterinary Assistant plays a key role in the veterinary team, handling responsibilities from general animal care to administration. Learning includes comprehensive classroom sessions for technical knowledge and on- and off-campus labs for essential hands-on training. While focusing on companion animals, They will also learn about exotic animals, laboratory animals, wildlife, and agricultural animals, opening various interesting career paths. Upon completing the semesters, The education culminates in a field placement, providing real-world experience in the career.
