Bournemouth University - Lansdowne Campus

What you will study

Program Description Physiotherapists work to improve the lives of individuals with physical and psychosocial difficulties.

This degree, which is accredited by The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) and approved by the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), has excellent employment following completion with 100% of graduates employed or in further study within six months of finishing. The course maintains small cohort sizes resulting in excellent lecturer-to-student ratio meaning more support, education and resource availability, throughout the degree.

As a trainee physiotherapist, students will treat people of all ages, with a range of difficulties and discover ways to help maximize each patient’s potential through the students' knowledge of human movement and function. They will also gain healthcare techniques to manage peoples’ physical, psychological and social wellbeing, and because practical experience is central to this course, students will gain real-world experience in a diverse array of settings. In the final year students will present an innovation project at a student conference, integrated to help to boost their career prospects.

Learning will be facilitated by a range of staff with relevant clinical expertise and knowledge appropriate to all units of study. All staff are research active, contributing to driving the profession forwards.
