What you will study
Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Leeds Beckett University International Study Centre. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Leeds Beckett University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.
This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge in sciences and mathematics, as well as the English language skills necessary for success in an undergraduate program at Leeds Beckett University. Once a student completes this course they will be suitable for progression options in areas such as computing, biomedical sciences and civil engineering.
After completing this pathway, students will transition to the LLB - Law with Criminology program. This course combines the essential elements of a law degree with the study of criminology to enable you to gain an insight into criminal behaviour, policing and criminal justice. Your legal studies will be enhanced by your understanding of criminology as you explore current responses to crime and develop your understanding of current and past legislation. As a qualifying law degree, this course is recognized by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board as meeting the academic requirements of your legal training, and completion will enable you to undertake further study in order to become a solicitor or barrister.
