The Bachelor of Information Technology (Professional Practice) at Federation University is a flagship co‑operative education program with a strong record of successful student placements across major industry partners, including IBM®, Kyndryl, and Westpac.

The program offers a flexible study structure, enabling students to tailor their learning in areas such as Mainframe (a highly specialised discipline offered by only a few universities worldwide), Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Business Analysis, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering.

Throughout the degree, students develop job‑readiness through dedicated career development units and the completion of 1,600 hours of paid industry placement with one of the university’s selected partner organisations, gaining valuable professional experience alongside academic study.
