The Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Financial Planning at Capilano University is designed to build the skills and knowledge required for a career in financial advising and wealth management.
Financial planners play a critical role in shaping clients’ financial futures by guiding decisions related to investing, retirement, insurance, estate planning, and other key financial matters.
This two-year, 13-course program is intended for individuals who already hold an undergraduate degree and are seeking to transition into the financial services industry.
Offered full-time at CapU’s North Vancouver campus, the program provides a strong quantitative and financial foundation to support success in industry entrance exams. It also meets the Core Curriculum requirements for the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) and Qualified Associate Financial Planner™ (QAFP™) designations.
Financial planners are in high demand across Canada, supporting individuals and families in building financial security while benefiting from strong career prospects and earning potential.
The program begins each January and is completed over four terms, including a capstone course in the Spring term.
