Business Foundation Year for Progression to International Year One Liverpool John Moores University ISC will introduce the new International Foundation Year (IFY) in Business in May 2025. This pathway allows students to progress to the International Year One (IY1) in Business in January 2026 and subsequently advance to Year 2 of their undergraduate degree by September 2026, enabling them to graduate on time with their peers in 2028. Bachelor of Science (Honours) – Business with International Business Management The Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Business with International Business Management at Liverpool John Moores University offers a dynamic programme centered on developing global business skills. This applied business course is designed to provide a diverse and comprehensive education, complemented by the opportunity to undertake a year-long work placement, preparing students for the national and international graduate job markets. The programme features a carefully designed suite of proven modules that equip students with competencies in managing people, finances, markets, and products. It also enhances analytical, planning, and information management skills within a business context. Graduates will be well-prepared to meet the challenges of the real business world. Part of the 'Business with' suite, this programme offers flexibility, allowing students to switch specialisms—such as Finance, Media Communications, or Digital Marketing—at the end of their first year. An additional advantage of this degree is the optional sandwich year, where students can engage in a paid work placement in the UK or overseas for 48 weeks. This placement provides practical experience, reinforces concepts and techniques learned in the first two years, and enhances personal skills and CVs. Students who complete the placement year often see significant improvements in academic performance, with many achieving first-class honours degrees and frequently returning to their placement companies after graduation. Liverpool Business School maintains partnerships with business schools across Europe, the USA, and China. Students in this programme may spend a semester abroad during their second year at a partner university or opt for an additional year of study at a partner institution between their second and third years. All study abroad opportunities are conducted in English. Additionally, Liverpool Business School supports various activities at partner universities during summer vacations and offers language skills courses to further enhance students' global competencies.
