Program Description For students who hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, but don’t meet the entry requirements for a master’s, a Pre-Master’s can help them gain a place on a postgraduate degree. For progression to the 1st year of a postgraduate degree at City, University of London. The course length is determined mainly by English language level (UKVI IELTS score).

Students on all course lengths take a set of common or similar modules to gain a solid base of skills for university. If the course is longer than 2 terms, students will take additional modules designed to improve one or more of their English language level, academic skills, and basic knowledge of particular subjects.

Master of Laws - International Energy Law and Regulation

The International Energy Law and Regulation specialist LLM is one of very few LLMs in the UK and elsewhere which provide students with an in-depth and comprehensive study of energy law and regulation. Other than coverage of widely discussed sources of energy, such as oil and gas, the course also addresses issues around the renewable and low carbon sector. The modules on offer will touch on the practical aspects of energy contracts, the regulation of the energy sector, the geo-political issues arising from the exploitation of energy and the resolution of international energy disputes.
