Overview

In the unique Cancer Immunology and Biotechnology MSc program, cancer and tumor immunology are explored. Students will delve into the basics of immunology and molecular biology of cancer, then progress to learning about developing therapies such as vaccines, monoclonal antibodies, CAR T cells, and more. The course also covers the relationship between tumors and the immune system, as well as the business aspects of research.

Under the guidance of active cancer researchers and experts at the Centre for Cancer Sciences, students will conduct a six-month independent research project in their chosen area of interest within cancer immunology and biotechnology. The program incorporates the use of cutting-edge technology in oncology and enhances students’ skills in evaluating and interpreting cancer research data.

Through this program at Nottingham, students will gain a solid foundation in tumor immunology and various immunotherapies to prepare them for a successful career in combatting one of the world’s most significant threats.
