International Incorporated Bachelors (IIB) - International Year One (IY1) - Continue to Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Civil and Structural Engineering

The International Year One (IY1) is the equivalent to a first year of study at undergraduate level. The course offers a combination of core modules and subject-specific study to help students develop the skills necessary to succeed in their chosen degree course.

Upon successful completion of the International Year One pathway, students will progress to the second year of their selected degree at the University of Bradford.

During the International Year One, students will: • Study at the University campus • Have full access to university amenities and student benefits

Civil and Structural Engineering program is designed to prepare and support United Kingdom students for a strong and rewarding experience in the field of Civil and Structural Engineering. It immediately aligns students with the fundamentals of engineering upon enrollment.

In addition to providing the necessary science, technology, engineering, and mathematics background for students to confidently enter the BEng (Hons) Civil and Structural Engineering program, the first year of study will also focus on developing transferable skills such as communication, professionalism, teamwork, and creativity. This year will serve as an excellent transition period to prepare students for the learning and teaching methodologies used in the United Kingdom, ensuring high engagement and achievement in the discipline.
