Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Graphic Design (Foundation Year) (W216)
London Metropolitan University - Aldgate
What you will study
London Metropolitan University's Graphic Design (including foundation year) degree is a four-year course with an in-built foundation year that gives students the chance to explore a range of art-related subjects before going on to specialise in graphic design in the subsequent years of study. Students will kick off their foundation year by working on an array of short studio and workshop projects, which will aid their development of skills and techniques that are common across all the foundation degrees. Later in the year, students will then progress to projects that focus more specifically on graphic design.
During these workshops students will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of drawing techniques as well as colour, materials, process, collage, exhibiting and more.
This foundation year will allow students to be experimental in a wide range of art subjects and will ensure they’re well-equipped to study graphic design at undergraduate level. Towards the end of the year, students will work on projects that will boost their confidence and independence as a designer and train them to be self-motivated and innovative.
An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
