Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - International Relations (L250)

Loughborough University - Loughborough Campus

What you will study

The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Relations will equip students with the knowledge to understand the responses to international political, economic and social challenges since the Second World War. Students will study politics in regional and global contexts, examine challenges to foreign policy decision making, and consider problems of security, conflict, international development and international politics of dynamic regions, including the ‘Global North’ and ‘South’.

The International Relations program will develop students' understanding surrounding the conflicts between states and their ability - or inability - to co-operate. The program blends concepts with case studies to equip students with specific methods of analysis in international relations, the kind of analytical skills that employers value.

This program offers students the opportunity to combine their studies with an elective module (20 credits out of 120 per year) from a range including: Business Studies, Communication and Media Studies, Economics, French, Geography, German, History, Politics, Mandarin Chinese, Social Policy, Sociology, and Spanish.
