Hairstylists are capable of advanced cutting techniques on both male and female clients, hair textured services (perming and chemical hair relaxing) hair colouring, colour correction, foiling techniques including current colour trends. In addition, stylists create “updo” styling for bridal and prom work, braiding and extension installation and maintenance.
Program Highlights:
• Clinical and lab experience • Students can earn credits towards apprenticeship • Industry specific field trips and involvement in community charity events • Students who have successfully completed their 1500 hours of in-school training will receive a diploma and apply those hours towards the Ministry required 3,500 total hours which includes 2000 hours of on the job training as a Registered Apprentice prior to challenging the Certificate of Qualification exam
