What you will study
The University of Manitoba's Civil Engineering program is the oldest engineering program in Western Canada. The University of Manitoba's undergraduate program is fully accredited - all the university's graduates are eligible to become professional engineers in Canada. A co-operative education option allows students to include practical work experience in their education before graduating.
Many undergraduate courses in civil engineering have laboratory components. These labs provide hands-on experience for students and take place in specialized laboratories, including:
• engineering mechanics laboratory, • structural and materials testing laboratories, • hydraulics laboratory, • geotechnical laboratory, • environmental engineering laboratory, • computer laboratories.
