1-Semester Pathway Pre-Masters - Business, Media and Social Sciences - Transfer to Master of Arts in Environment, Development and Policy

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the International Year One programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, and a variety of business skills such as accounting, finance and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree.

This Master of Arts in Environment, Development and Policy highlights the complex relationship between environmental and developmental challenges.

Based in the School of Global Studies, you’ll study in a unique department that encourages you to learn from the Global South as much as from the Global North. You’ll learn to think critically and practically about the effects different theoretical assumptions and policy approaches have on our ability to manage the relationship between environment, economy and society.

You’ll explore a range of critical and practitioner perspectives on environment, development and policy, drawing from the three main subject areas in the School of Global Studies: • Anthropology
