Centennial College - Progress
The Game – Art program prepares students to create visual assets for video games and interactive media. Students develop both artistic and technical skills required to design characters, environments, and props for real-time game engines.
The curriculum covers areas such as digital drawing, 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, animation fundamentals, and visual storytelling. Students learn to use industry-standard software and tools to produce game-ready assets while following production pipelines used in the gaming industry.
Through hands-on projects and collaborative work, students build a professional portfolio that demonstrates their creative abilities and technical proficiency. Emphasis is placed on design principles, attention to detail, and optimizing assets for performance in real-time environments.
Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles such as game artist, 3D modeler, environment artist, or texture artist within game studios, animation companies, and interactive media industries.
