This program is for students who want to improve people's lives and help them during difficult times. Students of this program want a degree where they spend time learning in a variety of clinical settings and a career where they are constantly updating your skills. Faculty will support students as the become a registered nurse. They'll learn to deliver the highest quality care that's focused on the person and use reasoning and evidence-based care to improve their patients' outcomes. Students' subjects include working with diverse communities, mental health, medical and surgical nursing, and palliative care. They'll also learn skills like leadership and management to give them even more confidence when they start their career. Their options will be wide when they graduate. They may choose to work in emergency illness, mental health, long-term care, intercultural health or population health. Wherever students' work, chances are their career in nursing will be challenging, stimulating and rewarding. They may even decide to further their studies into a specialised nursing area including midwifery or paramedicine.
