English Language Preparation + 2-Semester Pathway Pre-Masters - Science and Engineering - Transfer to Master of Science - 5G Mobile Communications and Intelligent Embedded Systems

The English Language Preparation program is a chance to improve your English language skills before beginning your pathway program. This program will help you develop the required language skills to be successful in your intended pathway and degree program. 1-Semester Pathway and 2-Semester Pathway pre-sessional English are available. 1-Semester Pathway Pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 5.0 overall (5.0 in all subskills) and 2-Semester Pathway pre-sessional English requires Academic IELTS for UKVI 4.5 Overall (minimum 4.5 in all sub-skills).

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the International Year One programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The Pre-masters program in Science and Engineering will let you explore and begin to understand the power of science and engineering in the real world by studying relevant courses such as programming and systems control, mathematics for computing and engineering and data analysis and modelling. While you begin to learn the technical and applied aspects of science and engineering you also are provided with a critical outlook and approach employers want in your chosen field.

The Master of Science in 5G Mobile Communications and Intelligent Embedded Systems is designed to give you the up-to-date knowledge and skills needed in modern digital technologies. It's for newly qualified or practising engineers who’d like to extend their knowledge and practical skills in the growth areas of mobile communications and intelligent embedded systems.

You’ll study in a dedicated MSc laboratory with the latest hardware and software. And you’ll learn from experts in their fields. We host the 5G Research Centre, the Industrial Informatics and Signal Processing Research Group, the Communications Research Group and the Sensor Technology Research Centre.
