What you will study

This Postgraduate Qualifying Program is a 5-unit course delivered over one trimester. It has been specifically designed as a pathway to a master’s degree for international students who do not meet the entry requirements for a master’s program. This course is suitable for individuals who: • do not possess the requisite qualifications to gain entry to their desired master’s degree

• need to acclimate to the academic standards required for master’s degree studies

• require additional support in English language proficiency

Upon successful completion of this program, students will be well-prepared to commence their postgraduate degree studies with confidence at Murdoch University. Master of Development Studies (M1195) (077165J) Students will explore the interconnections between politics, governance, and development, as well as social and environmental sustainability, food and health security, gender empowerment, and state building and conflict. Additionally, they will evaluate various approaches to policy and practice. Graduates will acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in international development across a diverse range of settings, including regional and international organizations, government agencies, consultancy firms, and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) engaged in development initiatives.
