What you will study
University Pathways Fast Track at RMIT UP is an accelerated pathway designed for high-achieving international students, preparing them for university in half the time of a Foundation Studies course. Delivered over one semester by RMIT UP (CRICOS provider number: 01912G), a fully owned entity of RMIT University, the program equips students with the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for future academic success.
Located in the heart of Melbourne, RMIT UP’s specialist staff support students throughout their journey, while providing opportunities to build global and social networks that contribute to success at RMIT and beyond.

University Pathways Fast Track features focused, discipline-based streams, allowing students to align their studies with their interests and goals. Available streams include STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Art, Design and Architecture, Business, and Communication and Social Context.

Associate Degree - Information Technology (AD006P24) (113595F) RMIT’s Associate Degree in Information Technology focuses on real-world problem solving through a project-based, active learning approach that aligns with current industry requirements.
The program builds foundational knowledge in areas such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, programming and data handling, equipping students with in-demand technical skills, strong problem-solving abilities and career flexibility.
Through a combination of theoretical study and hands-on practical training, students learn to understand operating systems, IT support and systems administration; design and secure network infrastructure using industry-standard tools and CISCO technologies; troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues across diverse IT environments; configure and manage virtualised and cloud-based systems; develop web, desktop and enterprise applications using modern programming languages; and apply user-centred design principles to create intuitive digital solutions.
Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce with relevant, job-ready skills for today’s IT industry, with opportunities across sectors including government, education, health, tourism and retail.
