Bachelor of Science (Honours) - International Hospitality Management with Foundation Year (N872)

The BSc (Hons) International Hospitality Management at the University of West London equips students with the ability to meet the evolving needs of the hospitality industry, particularly in managing technological change, data analytics and delivering excellent service.

Students will also develop essential SMART Professionals skills, which stand for Service Minded, Managerial skills, Analytical, Responsible and Technological awareness.

Practical classes will enable students to develop their skills while applying theory from a range of modules to practice. Students will be able to take part in activities such as trips, workshops and guest speaker sessions, enhancing their understanding of contemporary issues in the industry.

In response to employer demand, the course offers a balance of theory and hands-on learning to prepare students for their careers. Students will gain diverse skills in marketing, HR, finance, operations and food service while focusing on technology and the analysis of large quantities of data to help them stand out in the hospitality business.

Students will be encouraged to take a strategic approach to hospitality, enhancing their understanding of the fast-paced business, economic and social demands placed on the industry. They will also examine and experience the complexities of management-level roles and build knowledge of the global hospitality sector through modules focused on international trends and operations.

All Level 4 students will be provided with a free uniform for the Hospitality Operations module, including one kitchen uniform and one front-of-house uniform.

The BSc (Hons) International Hospitality Management at the University of West London also offers a foundation year. The foundation year provides a firm grounding in the skills and knowledge needed to succeed at university and is suitable for students who may not meet standard entry requirements, have been living abroad or wish to change career direction. Successful completion allows students to progress straight onto Level 4 of the course.
