Bachelor of Science - Actuarial Science and Statistics - Option 1: Actuarial Science

Through the Actuarial Science and Statistics program at the University of Central Missouri, high-achieving mathematics students will be prepared to use mathematics to predict the future in insurance, business and the economy. UCM’s program is recognized as a Universities and Colleges with Actuarial Programs—Advanced Curriculum (UCAP-AC) by the Society of Actuaries, making it the only one of its kind at a public institution in Missouri. The Actuarial Science program at the University of Central Missouri will prepare students to earn the credentials they need to become a highly sought after professional actuary, capable of developing and communicating solutions for complex financial issues. Their 17-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio allows the professors to get to know students and to provide the personalized attention they deserve. Students will learn from seasoned professionals, including a SOA-credentialed actuary with education, research, and industry experience.
