What you will study

BSc Accountancy Flying Start degree is an innovative course aimed at students who want to become ICAEW Chartered Accountants. This four-year program is sponsored by PwC and overseen by the ICAEW.

They will spend three to four months on paid work placement at PwC in their second, third and fourth years, assisting on real client work. They'll be supported by a network of staff from both the Business School and PwC.

They will get a solid grounding in fundamental disciplines including business finance, financial and management accounting, and business law. In addition, many of the modules they will study carry accreditation towards the ACA accountancy qualification.

They can also follow their interests and career aspirations by selecting from optional modules alongside their core subjects. They could choose from areas such as entrepreneurship, risk management and corporate governance.

They have the option to take industry-recognized digital qualifications by Microsoft and SAP alongside their course, which will develop their digital skills and help them stand out to future employers.

They will graduate with all the knowledge, practical skills and confidence they need as their start their career, with many of our students offered positions with PwC after they graduate.
