BTEC National Extended Diploma - Creative Media Production and Technology - Film, Motion Graphics and Visual Effects

Program Description This two year course offers an exciting opportunity to get the skills necessary to advance to higher education or gain employment within a wide range of pathways within the Creative Industries. Areas of study will include Film, Motion Graphics and Visual Effects

Students will learn about all aspects of the creative process from pre-production to post production. Students will be working on productions in practical, theoretical and contextual studies, producing online portfolios and show reels of their work. Students will have the opportunity to visit production studios, specialist careers events, university open days and receive practical workshops, including employability skills.

The creative industries is one of the fastest growing sectors in the UK and especially Wales, with an annual turnover of over £1.9 billion. It employs over 58,000 people, 52% more than ten years ago. Wales is now widely recognised as a centre for TV and film production. It’s also home to a growing digital technology cluster. They cover a wide range of jobs including Digital Media, Marketing, TV, Film, Advertising and Animation.
