3 Term Pathway - International Foundation Year - Business, Economics, Accounting and Finance - Transfer to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Accounting and Finance

Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the Durham University International Study Centre located at Queen's Campus, in Stockton on Tees. After completing the pathway, students will progress into a program at Durham University. In an international foundation year students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into their intended program depends upon successful completion of the pathway program.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the Durham University, Durham City campus a in a range of subjects related to economics, accounting or finance.

After completing this pathway, students will transfer to the BA Accounting and Finance program. Throughout the BA, you will study a breadth and depth of accounting and finance subjects giving you the opportunity to take your knowledge to a new level. Areas of study may include accounting information, the legal, regulatory and social context within which accounting operates.

What’s more, if you choose the relevant modules, you may gain exemption from some of the ACA, ACCA and CIMA examinations once you’ve completed your degree. Just another small step that will help make your way up the career ladder a little easier.

Flexibility – subject to optional module choice and successful completion of your first year – it may be possible to change your degree path to either Accounting and Management or Finance.
